Biden's Foreign Policy: A Symphony of Failures
February 1st 2024: By, Walter Curt
Under the leadership of President Joe Biden, the United States has witnessed a catastrophic unraveling of its foreign policy stature. The latest debacle in Jordan, where three American service members tragically lost their lives with over 40 others injured in an assault by Iran-backed militias, is a stark testament to the administration's glaring impotence. This attack, attributed to the Islamic Resistance in Iraq—a conglomerate of Iranian proxies including Kataib Hezbollah—exposes the gaping holes in Biden's approach to deterrence.
The Biden administration's response, characterized by predictable retaliatory strikes in Iraq and Syria, has become a laughable pattern of ineffectiveness. Broadcasting these countermeasures in advance, the administration might as well send engraved invitations to its adversaries. Iran, far from being cowed, remains emboldened, its proxies undeterred, as American lives are callously expended on the altar of diplomatic ineptitude.
This is not an isolated incident but a continuation of a disastrous foreign policy track record. From the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan to the unending conflict in Ukraine, from the botched dealings with Venezuela's president to the travesty in Israel, Biden's Midas touch in reverse is alarmingly evident. Each venture, marred by a lack of foresight and decisive action, has only served to embolden our foes and weaken our global standing.
The situation in Yemen further illustrates this pattern of failure. U.S. forces, engaged in retaliatory strikes following Houthi attacks, find themselves perilously close to direct confrontation, with one assault nearing within a nautical mile of a U.S. Navy ship. The administration's tepid response to these provocations is a clear signal of weakness to our adversaries.
The fallout from the U.S. strikes in Iraq and Syria further compounds this narrative of failure. With Iraq condemning the strikes as a breach of its sovereignty and planning to summon the U.S. embassy's chargé d'affaires, the Biden administration's actions have not only failed to assert American strength but have also managed to strain relations with an already fragile ally. Meanwhile, Iran's disavowal of the initial drone attack, claiming the militias act independently, is a thinly-veiled attempt to sidestep responsibility while continuing its proxy war against U.S. interests.
In a chilling admission, one militia group has declared a suspension of attacks on U.S. forces, not out of fear or respect, but to avoid "embarrassing" Iraq. This gesture of faux restraint is nothing short of a slap in the face, highlighting the administration's inability to command even a modicum of respect from our adversaries.
President Biden's foreign policy is not just a series of missteps; it is a comprehensive exhibition of failure. With every blunder, the message to the world is clear: under Biden's watch, the U.S. is a declining power, its threats empty, its promises hollow. As we teeter on the brink of a global conflict, the need for a radical overhaul of our foreign policy approach has never been more urgent. The time for action is now, lest we continue down this path of decline, orchestrated by an administration that has proven itself incapable of safeguarding American interests and lives on the international stage.

The Buckeye Ballot Breach: Elias's Assault on Ohio's Constitution
February 2nd, 2024: By, Walter Curt
Marc Elias and his firm are at it again, launching another audacious attempt to manipulate Ohio's electoral integrity under the guise of "giving power back to the voter." This time, they're targeting the state's constitution, aiming to erode the safeguards around mail-in voting. Fresh off their previous exploit of embedding abortion rights into the constitution, they're now setting their sights on dismantling the state's voting restrictions.
Democracy Docket, Elias's mouthpiece, unabashedly outlines their strategy for 2024, pushing for two constitutional ballot measures in Ohio. They're advocating for the creation of an independent redistricting commission and an Ohio Voters' Bill of Rights, which, on the surface, sounds benign. However, the devil is in the details, and these proposals are nothing short of a Trojan horse designed to weaken the electoral process.
The so-called Ohio Voters Bill of Rights is particularly insidious. It aims to dilute current photo ID requirements, claiming to protect the sanctity of the vote while paradoxically making the system more susceptible to fraud. The amendment proposes a laissez-faire approach to voting, allowing "people to vote how, when, and wherever they want," effectively opening the floodgates for potential abuse.
Elias's publication touts these measures as a fight against voter suppression, citing the purging of over 700,000 voters and other Republican-led initiatives as justification. Yet, what they conveniently fail to acknowledge is the necessity of maintaining the integrity of the electoral roll and ensuring that only eligible citizens cast their votes.
The push for these amendments under the rallying cry of "give us the ballot" is a thinly veiled attempt to loosen voting laws in Ohio, a state that has remained steadfastly red. Despite the anomaly of the abortion referendum, Trump's significant victory margin in the state is a testament to its political leaning. Elias and his cohorts are well aware that their only chance of swaying Ohio lies in undermining the very fabric of its electoral system.
Ohioans must brace themselves for this impending onslaught. The maneuvers by Elias and his firm are not about empowering voters but about paving the way for manipulation and deceit. Their relentless campaign to loosen voter laws under the pretense of democracy is a threat that must be met with vigilance and resistance.

Someone Shot The Messenger: A $50 Million Flop
February 2nd, 2024: By, Walter Curt
In what could be dubbed as the digital era's most extravagant bonfire of vanities, The Messenger, a news website that burst onto the scene with the subtlety of a brass band, is bowing out in silence less than a year after its grand entrance. With a staggering $50 million in its war chest, the venture managed to do the unthinkable: evaporate into thin air, leaving behind a trail of bewilderment and 300 jobless individuals.
Jimmy Finkelstein, the mastermind behind this ill-fated venture, expressed his deep regrets, stating this closure was "the last thing I wanted." His dream was to revolutionize the media landscape, a noble intention perhaps, but one that quickly turned into a cautionary tale about the perils of hubris in the digital age.
The Messenger, despite its ambitious beginnings and a squad of seasoned journalists, found itself in a quagmire almost immediately after launch. A high-profile editor's departure was just the first domino to fall. The relentless demand for content led to employee burnout, and the media industry's critics were far from impressed. It seemed The Messenger's only consistent message was its fixation on Donald Trump's legal entanglements—a narrative that quickly wore thin.
Financially, the picture was grim. Of the $50 million initially raised, a jaw-dropping $38 million vanished, with an additional $8 million lavished on opulent offices. It wasn't long before the coffers ran dry, leading to staff cuts and a desperate, albeit futile, scramble by Finkelstein to secure more funding.
The Messenger's downfall was starkly evident in its inability to captivate and retain a readership. In a digital age dominated by X, where users value rapid access to a diverse array of viewpoints and news, The Messenger's content strategy, heavily laden with repetitive narratives, failed to resonate. The platform's lack of engaging, varied content rendered it obsolete in the face of X's dynamic and expansive information ecosystem. This disconnection from the audience's interests and the digital zeitgeist underscored the publication's steep decline.
The Messenger's demise is not an isolated incident but part of a broader trend of turbulence within the news media sector, characterized by layoffs, declining ad revenues, and unfulfilled digital ambitions. However, The Messenger's spectacular crash and burn, having squandered $50 million in less than a year, secures its place in the annals of digital media notoriety as a stark emblem of how not to run a media company. In the end, The Messenger didn't just fail to deliver; it failed to comprehend the changing currents of media consumption, making its silent exit less of a surprise and more of an inevitability.

Hunter Biden Takes Center Stage: The Saga Continues
February 3rd, 2024: By, Walter Curt
Hunter Biden, the ever-controversial figure swirling in a tempest of allegations and investigations, is set to grace Capitol Hill with his presence once again. Scheduled for a closed-door deposition before the House Oversight and Judiciary committees on February 28th, Hunter's appearance is part of the larger impeachment probe into President Biden's entanglements with his son's overseas business dealings.
This latest chapter in the Hunter Biden spectacle follows a series of dramatic, almost farcical episodes that have seen him dodge deposition dates, make unexpected Capitol cameos, and leave a trail of bewildered onlookers in his wake. His prior Capitol escapades include a grandiose entrance, complete with a declaration of "I am here!" only to promptly exit stage left without entertaining any questions. Another memorable act saw Hunter crashing a committee hearing, only to beat a hasty retreat when confronted by the probing inquiries of Marjorie Taylor Greene.
Hunter's insistence on a public hearing, citing fears of selective leaks from a private deposition, has now given way to an agreement for a closed-door session. Whether this will be followed by the promised public testimony remains a tantalizing question, with Republicans playing their cards close to their chest.
The legal tussles over securing Hunter's testimony have been nothing short of a soap opera, with missed dates, threats of contempt charges, and debates over the validity of subpoenas. Yet, here we are, with subpoenas reissued and Hunter's lawyer signaling readiness for a deposition, marking Hunter's third dramatic foray onto Capitol Hill amidst the ongoing probe.
But the impeachment inquiry has unearthed more than just Hunter's penchant for theatrical entrances and exits. Revelations have emerged about the intricate web of financial transactions linking the Biden family to foreign entities, with associates Mervyn Yan and Rob Walker set to testify on their roles in ventures tied to the Chinese energy conglomerate CEFC. The narrative unfolding alleges millions flowing from China, Romania, and other nations into shell companies and then into the coffers of Biden family members, with direct payments to Joe Biden himself adding fuel to the fire.
The probe's spotlight on Hunter's art dealings further complicates the Biden saga. Georges Bergès, Hunter's art dealer, contradicted White House claims of an ethics agreement to anonymize buyers, revealing that Hunter was acquainted with a significant portion of his patrons. These revelations, including a notable transaction involving White House access for art buyer Elizabeth Hirsh Naftali and substantial purchases by top patron Kevin Morris, paint a picture of a blurred line between Hunter's art and the Biden political dynasty.
As February 28th approaches, one can only anticipate the next act in this ongoing drama. Hunter Biden's deposition may promise more revelations, but if history is any guide, it's sure to deliver another round of spectacle and mockery. Amidst the serious implications for American politics and governance, Hunter Biden remains a figure of intrigue, controversy, and, undoubtedly, ridicule.

Jack Smith Fans on Life Support
February 2nd, 2024: By, Walter Curt
In a turn of events that's sure to deflate the spirits of the anti-Trump brigade, the much-anticipated J6 case in Washington D.C. against the former President has vanished from the court docket faster than a politician's promise. Scheduled for the dramatic prelude of Super Tuesday, March 4, 2024, the trial was set to be the stage for Jack Smith's magnum opus. But alas, like a soap bubble in the grasp of a child, it has popped and disappeared without a trace.
Jack Smith, who seemed to have been on a crusade to ensure the trial took place before the November election, must now be feeling the ground crumble beneath him. The whispers in the corridors of justice suggest that a brief challenging the constitutionality of Smith's appointment caught the Supreme Court's eye, leading to this dramatic courtroom vanishing act. One can't help but picture the scene at Smith's office: the hurried shuffling of papers, the frantic tapping of keyboards, and the bewildering glances exchanged as the news breaks.
The media, alongside the devout followers of Smith's cause, had been perched on the edge of their seats, popcorn in hand, eagerly awaiting the moment Trump would be led away in handcuffs. Yet, what unfolds instead is a scene ripe for satire; the ever-growing list titled "WE'VE GOT HIM NOW" gains yet another entry, only to end in the familiar anti-climax of disproven allegations and dismissed cases.
This latest development in the D.C. court circuit is not just a "huge blow" to the judge and the so-called "Marxist horde," but a veritable pie in the face for those who sought to employ the legal system as a cudgel in the political theatre. The anticipation of using the judiciary to smear Trump's image before the primaries has been met with an unexpected twist—the stage will remain unlit, the actors without a script.
The erasure of the March 4 trial date from the public calendar of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, as recently confirmed by an internal master court trial calendar, adds an air of mystery to the proceedings. Was it a clerical error, or a sign of deeper machinations at play? Amidst this uncertainty, whispers of former AG Ed Meese's brief being accepted by the Supreme Court have begun to circulate, adding another layer of intrigue. The court's silence on the matter only fuels speculation and amusement among court watchers and political pundits alike, turning the judiciary's calendar into a veritable treasure map of rumors and conjectures.
As the dust settles and the reality of the situation dawns on the expectant crowd, one can't help but revel in the irony. The plot to corner Trump in a legal checkmate has turned into a comedic farce, leaving Smith and his supporters grasping at straws. As the narrative unfolds, the stage is set for a performance filled with satire and ridicule, directed at the expense of Smith and the corrupt D.C. court circuit. The curtain may have fallen prematurely on this act, but the show, as they say, must go on.

No Shot Nikki Haley
February 4th, 2024: By, Mike Melo
The Republican race has narrowed to Donald Trump and Nikki Haley. Despite her progress, she hasn't been warmly received within the Republican Party, for reasons both minor and major.
Nikki's flirtation with wokeness, connections to the neoconservative agenda, and her apparent disregard for online privacy rights have drawn the wrong kind of support, distancing her from Trump's core supporters. Her politics, which some liken to those of Hillary Clinton and the Cheneys, have cast Haley's campaign as a tool in what appears to be a concerted effort to thwart Trump's 2024 ambitions.
Like Clinton, Haley has not shied away from leveraging divisive identity politics to appeal to certain voter segments and push her political objectives. Both establishment media and leftist commentators have noted her efforts to pander to progressive sensibilities—actions that seem contradictory given her previous assertions that "wokeness is a virus more dangerous than any pandemic."
Haley's ties to the military-industrial complex are well-documented. Her tenure on the Boeing board and significant investments in their stock, coupled with her husband's defense contracting venture, Allied Defense, suggest a potential presidency under Haley could be influenced by the same defense establishment that was at odds with Trump's administration. Prominent Republicans have criticized Haley's aggressive foreign policy stance, drawing parallels with Liz Cheney and even labeling her "Dick Cheney in 3-inch heels."
Despite retracting her earlier statements on the need for government registration of anonymous online posters, Haley's stance on internet privacy has raised concerns. The question looms: would a President Haley use her connections to target anonymous critics online, a tactic not unprecedented in political circles?
Plenty of Nikki Haley's voters are not aligned with America First and pro-MAGA sentiments but lean towards the pro-establishment uniparty perspective. This was made clear in the New Hampshire Republican open primary, where a CNN exit poll revealed that 70% of Nikki Haley's supporters were not registered Republicans. These voters confessed to CNN & MSNBC that their vote for Haley was intended to undermine Trump, stating a preference for Biden over Haley if faced with that choice. Despite Trump's significant victory in New Hampshire amidst a relentless attack from the deep state, Haley perpetuated the falsehood that her continued presence in the race spelled trouble for the political elite. The truth is, Nikki Haley embodies the very political establishment that seeks to dismantle the Trump-led MAGA movement.
Figures like conservative strategist Steve Bannon have voiced strong opposition to Haley's potential role in a future Trump administration, labeling her a "viper" with ambitions to overstep her bounds. Journalist Tucker Carlson has also expressed firm opposition to Haley, dubbing her "poison" and cautioning against her influence. Senator Rand Paul's #NeverNikki anti-endorsement further highlights the resistance Haley faces within her own party. The Trump camp, frustrated by her tactics, has dismissed the possibility of her serving as Vice President and warned of ostracizing any Haley backers from the MAGA circle. This stance is underscored by the recent decision of LinkedIn co-founder and prominent Democrat donor Reid Hoffman to halt his financial support for Haley.
Haley's dwindling backing signals troubling times ahead for her campaign. Her affiliation with the waning neoconservative faction and her divisive influence on the Republican Party's trajectory render her candidacy increasingly untenable. For the sake of America's future, Haley's expedient withdrawal from the race would be most beneficial.

From Courtroom to Penthouse: Carroll's Mockery of Real Victimhood
February 1st, 2024: By, Chris Filby
This piece is being written in light of the significant outcry from numerous women regarding the perplexing conduct of E. Jean Carroll following her second defamation lawsuit against Donald J. Trump. Her media appearances, particularly concerning her legal actions, are peculiar at the very least, raising doubts about her perception of sexual assault's gravity. Countless victims, overshadowed by the fear of their assailants or burdened with misplaced guilt for their ordeals, choose silence over seeking justice or any form of redress for their suffering. Yet, E. Jean Carroll can engage in televised discussions with Anderson Cooper, discussing controversial topics such as women's rape fantasies, or with Rachel Maddow, where she whimsically talks about buying Maddow a house in France. Critics argue she seems to treat her legal victory as though she had won a jackpot, instead of finding a semblance of closure or a path to aiding others in their healing journeys.
Regardless of one's views on the former President Donald J. Trump, his renown as a prominent figure in New York City's social scene and as a flamboyant businessman remains undisputed. Indeed, Mr. Trump, particularly during the 1990s, never found himself lacking in attention, attracting numerous women during a time when societal understanding of gender was more binary.
E. Jean Carroll boasts an extensive career as a columnist for notable publications such as Elle Magazine, The Atlantic, and Vanity Fair, and as a contributing editor for Outside, Esquire, and Playboy. She has also contributed to Saturday Night Live as a writer, and has worked as a host and producer for NBC and MSNBC, in addition to authoring several anthologies and books. Her entrepreneurial ventures include the launch of internet websites like greatboyfriends.com, Catch27.com, AskJean.com, and Tawkify.
Carroll accused Trump of sexual assault in a dressing room at Bergdorf Goodman, an upscale Fifth Avenue fashion store in New York, in the mid-1990s. She alleged that while she was leaving the store, Trump approached her to seek advice on a gift for a woman, a conversation that purportedly led them to the lingerie section and culminated in Trump coaxing her to try on a dress. It was in the dressing room, she claimed, that Trump assaulted her over a span of three minutes.
Given the store's prestigious location in one of the world's fashion capitals, on one of the most renowned streets in both the city and country, at a bustling intersection, and serving a clientele that expects and pays for exceptional service, it raises questions as to how staff trained in attentiveness seemingly have no recollection of any unusual activity. The absence of any reported disturbance, notwithstanding the lack of audible screams, does not negate the likelihood that Trump's presence in the store would have been notable. Observations of the pair interacting, appearing congenial, and then vanishing, albeit momentarily, should have aroused suspicion. It seems improbable that store employees, particularly female staff, would have overlooked a disheveled customer exiting the store in evident distress.
While E. Jean Carroll, a woman with a substantial career, might be deemed credible, she has, intriguingly, found herself in situations involving high-profile individuals like Donald Trump, a billionaire businessman destined to become President of the United States, and Les Moonves, future President of CBS, who she claims sexually assaulted her. These allegations were detailed in her 2019 book, "What Do We Need Men For?" Both Trump and Moonves have denied the accusations, which emerged in 2017, coinciding with the onset of the "Me Too" movement. It is imperative to underscore that no individual, irrespective of their contentious views, deserves to be a victim of a crime, particularly sexual assault or rape. The question remains whether Carroll was merely in the wrong place at the wrong times with the wrong men, or if her accounts of the events significantly differ from what transpired.
In May 2022, the New York State Legislature enacted a law allowing alleged victims of sexual offenses, for which the statute of limitations had lapsed, to file civil suits against the accused for a one-year period. This window, spanning from November 24, 2022, to November 24, 2023, enabled Carroll to initiate her lawsuit against Trump. Previously, the statute of limitations was three years, but the new legislation extended it to twenty years. The law was passed with a 140-3 vote and was signed by Governor Kathy Hochul.
E. Jean Carroll initiated her lawsuit against Trump on November 24, 2022, capitalizing on the first day of the one-year window provided by the new legislation. She later revealed that a portion of her legal fees was sponsored by a venture capitalist who is also a donor to the Democratic Party. In the first trial, the jury concluded that Trump, at that time a private citizen, had committed sexual assault but not rape, having been given a distinct choice between the two. The legal proceedings that followed awarded Carroll two significant sums in defamation damages: $5 million and $83 million. Despite these outcomes, Trump continues to vehemently deny the allegations. Observations from the first trial suggest that Trump's defense attorney may have inadequately cross-examined Carroll, a point of contention for some trial watchers. Nonetheless, the judge deferred to the jury's verdict, guiding the case's direction. The second award is currently under appeal. While Carroll may have had her share of supporters, the prospect of her actually securing the entirety of the awarded "jackpot" remains highly unlikely.

Carroll is no innocent. Her columns dating decades back were always provocative and in your face, misandrist - sexually, politically, against rules, norms, often morals. She jumped on the me-too movement when it had been politically derailed away from the true victims of abuse to defame or cancel all men. Never believed her “victim” stance in court against Trump. Her lawsuits were against men with money and position. Targets: warranted or not. She may have been assaulted in her life to turn out like this but it would have been in her much younger history to contribute to this trajectory in her life. Her response to winning: money, greed, lack of grace or class, and irresponsible and tone deaf to the impact of her behaviors are predictable, given her history.
