Just wow. This is the most reality piercing essay I've read in a long time, maybe ever. Stunning metaphors that had me rereading sentences all while anxious to read on to see what came next.
While reading, images kept popping up of Biden's mouth agape when an off-script question was asked of him, of AOC's dress at the MET, of ANTIFA groups "protesting" and covid. Fake moments, fake uprisings, all attacks on reality and meant to crush our souls.
One thing is true, of all western nations being attacked America appears to be the quickest to wake up. Do you think it's because of Trump? Do you think we'd be here without his leadership?
While the UK, Ireland, and some of Europe finally face the decades-long Islamic invasion threats, America seems to be standing up to our own attacks much quicker. What about us is different? Is it Trump? Is it us?
Thanks, Walter, for a beautifully written and hopeful essay.
"Reality is the solvent that dissolves their varnish." In an article full of excellence, this was my favorite. I saw the astroturf first hand in downtown Chicago on Federal Plaza where a protest was underway, I don't remember what for as there are hundreds at that location every year, but after the protest was over a co-worker said watch this. I saw a group of people gather around someone who handed out cash. That's when it hit me, that this was all made up. The supposed outrage was facilitated by a team of paid protestors. They would get the party started and entice locals to join in. Over the next several years I saw the same paid protestors show up for various causes, some with no relation to the others. It made me look at the "protests" in a different way.
This article reminds me of one of my favorite quote’s by John Quincy Adams - “Duty is ours, results are His”.

President Trump is the embodiment of the American spirit of rebellion, would we be here without him?
I don’t know.
It looks to me that he may have been the only one that was able to pierce their control.
Could there have been another? Maybe.
But I believe that he was really the man made for the moment.
That was proven to me last July at Butler.
Worth the read!

Look into the group called “crowds on demand.”
Will be very eye opening for you.
This applies just as well to the “conservative” movement.
